There are malicious permanently banned members that are signing up multiple accounts on ddboard.com and tries to scam majority of active members. I have to do this. I will study first an account if he/she deserves to be enabled or not.

I will enable and perm. banned immediately:
1. Those who use web proxy. Obviously they're here just to spam or do some damage to ddboard.com and what's more they don't want to display ads of ddboard.com now that ddboard.com has elite membership (ad-free)

2. Those who are duplicate accounts of permanently banned members.

This includes demanding that a user delete his/her post and/or getting the thread locked (e.g. Delete your post! This thread should be locked.). Any action where the user attempts to take over for a mod (including any variation of "I'd rate this ___, if I could!") anywhere on a sub-forum without explicit permission may be considered mini-modding. This is especially true when the user only posts to do so. If someone has posted in a forum where it might be hard to determine what topic belongs there, post with advice addressing the question and suggesting (Note: NOT demanding) that the user post in the appropriately named forum. Posting in a particularly troublesome thread will likely get you into as much trouble as other users. The best way to take care of rule violations is to PM a mod. Only PM the mods once per violation. It is the responsibility of the staff and the mod groups to enforce the rules. Please make sure to PM the correct person in the mod groups, as they can only moderate in specific boards. Please do not hinder them by posting in threads that need moderator action. It only serves to revive the thread and create even more of a hassle.

Additionally, if someone has already posted proper advice on where to post, do not post the same advice worded in a different way, or posting “Member X is right!” or other statements along those lines.

In short anything that will lessen the admins/staff jobs of correcting members is back seat moding, if you want to give a headsup do it via pm.

List of offenses:

* Wrong Forum : 2 warning points
* Affiliate Linking : 3 warning points
* Forum Etiquette: 4 warning points
* Spaming : 5 warning points
* Begging: 5 warning points
* Rudeness: 5 warning points
* PM Spaming: 6 warning points
* Duplicate Account: 7 warning points
* Illegal Activity (fraud, pirated software, etc.): 10 warning points
* Other offenses: per moderator discretion

Notes:

* Warning points are completely independent from ddPoints.
* Warning points are completely independent from user reputation.
* Warning points are completely independent from thread ratings.

Total of 20 points:
Once you accumulate 20 points you will be banned automatically, all warning points issued have min. of 2 months expiration and if escalated to abuse to admin, anyone can be banned permanently. So the bottom line here is avoid getting warning points. If in doubt, PM the mods, they're all available to help you.

Dear Domain Enthusiasts!

Lately there has been an increase of fraudulent activity in regards to ddPoints. We have scripts in place that we monitor closely and that help us to detect this kind of fraud. As an immediate measure, we have deactivated the 100 ddPoints that users obtained upon registration. This was abused by some members who created dummy users and then donated the ddPoints to the real user.

Please note that ddPoints fraud, such as creating dummy users, dummy referrals, dummy posts, etc. will get you permanently banned from the board without warning.
