bueno eso ... como puedo saber el path de mi web? por ejemplo...

/home/virtual/sitio137429/www/carpeta2/

existe alguna forma de saberlo? ya sea subiendo algun archivo a algo al host?

Pues en el cpanel, en el administrador de archivos te da direcciones completas.

simplemente con $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] osea <?=$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']?>
