Smile An Introduction to PHP - 10-26-2006, 02:52 AM

An Introduction to PHP (Free)

What will I learn?

This class will teach you how to program in PHP. PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language

Who is this tutorial for?

This class is aimed at users who have no programming experience, but is also useful for programmers who are new to PHP. Thus, users who have never programmed will find the class challenging, while users who do program will find the class informative. Users should also have some notion of how to make a website using HTML (this includes basic knowledge of tables) and know how to edit a file on a UNIX / WINDOW system

Lecture 1: (in theory)
Static vs. Dynamic Websites
Using PHP on RCI or Eden
A Simple PHP Program
Practice 1

Practice 2
Functions
Practice 3
Conditionals
Practice 4
Lecture 2: (in practice)
Review of Conditionals & Functions
PHP and Online Forms
Practice 5

PHP and E-mail
Practice 6
Conclusion (MySQL)
Thank You ......
