This great tutorial shows you how to setupup these server sides on your windows home computer so that way you dont have to upload your php to your server in order to see if it works. Work on coding offline.

You can use xampp for that. It is much easier ... just download it, unrar and work.

I use WAMP. Its very easy. If you have linux, use LAMP.

Oh ur right. Those both seem so much simpler than this. I guess everybody should just direguard my post [unless u like doing extra work] and use one of those other ways.

btw the url to get WAMP is

so u dont haveto spend 10 sec searching

Lol ... I use apache, php and mysql separately ... I don't use XAMPP or wamp or stuff like this. I just mentioned an easier way for people that don't know how to configure the apache server to work with php and other stuff

Why use them all spereately? There are tools like this to set them all up at the same time....

I use WAMP for my programming. It's so much easier than setting it all up together.

Those AMP's might be easy to install but they're not very secure.. so theb best thing to do when setting up a host is get linux, install apache, mysql and php..
And configure apache...
Kinda hard to configure apache though but once you get through it will be really rewarding..
