Not bad....he use cute-news thingy i don't really like the blackness of the skin maybe his just showing his personality?

I tested this in IE, the page goes whack, the sidebar gets pushed to the bottom. Also a bit dark.

I guess you got this as a free template? (button 9)
you should edit the monitor an place some text there , like the name of your site for example.... and change the background or the font color... your text is hard to read for some people...
you can' please everybody but atleast please the majority...

And add a banner of your site name at top.
