The scope of the contests include most programming languages such as Java, C++, and Visual Basic, and etc... I suppose.

Too bad, I couldn't join, because I am under 18.

The prize is quite a fortune. There are numerous contests btw, both big and small.

Looks pretty cool. Too bad I'm a at everything except html/css and python.

I think you can also compete there (you say you know python).

Nice site, but they don't have interactive C.
Other than teh normal C, thats the only one I know. and ofcourse the webdevelopment.

I would do very good in that competition.
I am able to program GUIs in C/C++ and can perform outprints (lol) in Java. I had attempted Python, Java 3D, and Visual BASIC but found them all to be a little to misleading.

what is the idea of this site?

Well, the main goal is not to design an "artisitic" outlook of the program. The main focus is the algorithm, ie, they give you one problem to solve by computation, and you need to find the best algorithm in steps, and the judges will scrutinize them based on the length, clarity, and so on......
