Is eBay safe to use? I am afraid to lose money to someone ripping me off.

Depends what payment method you're using. I've heard some bad stories about PayPal. Also, look at the reputation of the user selling the item(s).

Many of my friends have bought stuff using their credit card from eBay. my dad has a laptop he bought from there using a credit card.

Like Ottica said, check the reputation, see what other people have said about that person, and always double check the name of the item and the description of what you're buying. There've been scams relating to item names and descriptions. Be very careful.

I dont trust Ebay, my friends have got ripped off alot on it. its just really the seller. just be careful, id say, like everyone else

i'd use ebay to buy cheap items, but i wouldn't trust it with anything expensive.

I got overdrawn because ebay kept sending me sellers fee of £15(monthly) i never noticed until a few months when i was overdrawn

eBay is a real good site. I don't buy from anybidy that has less than 95% of rep.

I have not never had problems with ebay. I have bought from ebay also my PC.

well i would ask u to be carefull ! i have been looted once ! Try to contact the seller and enquir completely about the product u r going to buy !
also check his/her reputation .. else u may find yourself cheated and try making the payment after delivery !
