Bazooka 1.0 came out April 03rd, 2007 after long hours of coding. It was the first of its kind. Now, most people could run a tumblelog on their own server with little fuss. The current version is 1.2.1 .

What is a tumblelog?
“A tumblelog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging.” — Wikipedia

It can be described as a place to dump thoughts. The posts are usually short and the stream of posts is constant. You can post links, quotes, images, or just text.
